The Bottle
Rex's drinking has a huge impact on Walls family. All the money goes towards his alcohol so there's no money for heat or food. Everyone fights over who gets to sleep with the dogs just for the extra heat. They also fight over what food they have. You know how bad they have it when their own mother hides the chocolate bar from the family, most mothers would share with their children. The kids have to grow up twice as fast just to survive. In my opinion its good because it teaches the kids how to live on their own and they appreciate things a lot more.

I like how you included more on the effects of his drinking money wise then other people did. Yes it teaches the kids to be greatful annd ependence, but there are better ways to do it then to have neglectful partens that spend all the money of their addictions that they cause the other to have.
